▼ Grant Privileges to a Local User Account

1. Add the user account.

For example, the following adds an account named “newuser1”:

2. Attach the “user” object to a role or give it a password.

3. Display the available roles.

The default privilege (operators role) is read-only.

4. Choose the role that the user will be assigned.

5. Verify the user configuration was correctly configured:

add user newuser1 ?

Possible completions:

[Optional qualifiers]

-password set password

-role role for user

add user newuser1 -role=?

Possible completions:

administrators Super user

network Create/modify/delete: Server Profile, vNIC, Ethernet card and

port, network QoS

operators Read only

server Create/modify/delete: Server Profile, vNIC and vHBA

storage Create/modify/delete: Server Profile, vHBA, Fibre channel card

and port, SAN QoS

add user newuser1 -role=operators

show user newuser1
